St. Louis Citizens Voices Unheard is a community-driven initiative dedicated to amplifying the stories and experiences of individuals and families impacted by wrongful convictions and systemic inequities within the criminal legal system. The initiative exists to create a platform where voices that have historically gone unheard can be shared, documented, and elevated to the public, policymakers, and community partners. Through storytelling, advocacy, and public engagement, CVU works to humanize the realities of incarceration and highlight the urgent need for fairness, transparency, and accountability.
At its core, CVU seeks to raise awareness and mobilize support for individuals who maintain their innocence while incarcerated. By connecting community members, advocates, and allies, the initiative aims to generate resources, legal support, and public attention for cases that deserve review and justice. The mission is rooted in compassion, truth, and collective action—ensuring that no person fighting for their freedom is left without a voice or a pathway toward hope.
Together we can Free the Innocent & Incarcerated.
